Frigid conditions on the Yellowstone River Bridge resulted in a stack of 30 cars shortly before noon on Saturday, the Montana Highway Patrol said.

No fatalities were reported, but two people were seriously injured.

Part of Interstate-90 was closed because it took authorities over two hours to tow all the damaged cars away from the scene.

A traveler said that while braking to prevent cars from stopping in front of her, a semi-truck struck her vehicle, she told the Billings Gazette.

“It was like bumper cars,” she says.

It was about 30 degrees in Billings when the accident took place.

One of the deadliest multi-vehicle wrecks in recent memory occurred earlier this month when six people were killed and dozens injured in a stack of 133 cars in Fort Worth, Texas.
