Authorities in Oregon say they believe there is a "high probability" of finding the missing actor, Charles Levin, in a remote southern part of the state. The 70-year-old son reported him missing on July 8, after not hearing him talk for a few days, the Oregonian reports. After GPS data restricted searches in a remote area near the town of Selma, Levin's vehicle was found on what the Grants Pass Public Safety Department describes as "a very remote and almost impassable road" . Levin's pug, Boo Boo Bear, was found dead inside the 2012 Fiat, which was off-road, handicapped by the rugged terrain.
After hours of searching around the vehicle, the human remains were found. Levin, who has more than 60 credits on his IMDB page, has appeared in films whose The child of gold and Annie Hall and television programs including Hill Street Blues, Act of the, Seinfeld, and Daddy's Girls. KTVL reports that Levin, a resident of Grants Pass, was moving when he disappeared. The medical examiner will confirm the identity and cause of death. (Read more stories about Oregon.)
