The alternative end of Iron Man would have introduced X-men into the MCU

"Mr. Stark, you're now part of a larger universe, you do not know it yet," Nick Fury told Tony Stark in the post-credit scene after the first Iron Man. "I'm here to talk to you about the Avenger initiative." Looking at eleven years later and 22 movies later, it's easy to see how big those words were. Another Iron Man post-credits scene, unveiled this weekend at the Saturn Awards by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, was even more ambitious.

It not only presents the Avengers initiative, which would save the world many times and go bankrupt. Avatar box office records in the process, he also introduced the X-Men in the Marvel cinematographic universe (MCU). Check below.

The incredible Hulk was to be the movie that would immediately follow Iron Man, and Spider-Man would eventually be introduced in MCU in Captain America: Civil War in 2016. With the acquisition of 20th Century Fox by Disney and the rights of X-Men with hermaybe the three hints of Fury will become a reality.
