The analog pocket has now been delayed until December

The Analog Pocket – a portable FPGA-based device compatible with the all The Game Boy library and other systems via adapters – has been delayed again.

After its delay in early April, which had pushed it back to an October release, Analogue has now postponed the delivery date to December. The “new Covid restrictions” are to blame, according to the official website – and the company understands how “frustrating” this update is likely to be for anyone anxious to get their hands on this device:

“Pocket pre-orders will ship no later than December. Unfortunately, due to new Covid restrictions with our assembly partners, their ability to deliver within the agreed time frame has been affected. This has created a domino effect of unrelated delays from our will in what would otherwise be a transparent process.

“We understand how frustrating it is. It is very frustrating for us too. We are delighted to get these amazing devices into your hands as soon as possible.”

The same post also indicated how the Pocket and all of its accessories would be restocked and immediately shipped after the holiday season. If you’re interested, it’ll set you back $ 199.99 USD and is available in black or white.
