Blizzard announced today that the Overwatch Anniversary event would return to the team shooter on May 21st. It will continue until June 10th.
Overwatch was released on May 24, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game has become a hit for Blizzard, attracting 40 million players in total.
The birthday celebrates Overwatch's birthday with new skins and other cosmetics. More specifically, this year brings six new legendary costumes (the rarest) and three epic costumes (one below legendary). The event also adds dancing emotes for the three new characters: Wrecking Ball, Ashe and Baptiste.
The connection to the game during the event offers players a free legendary booty box, which guarantees at least one legendary item.
