Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, representative of New York, swept not necessarily in the city of Boston, but in front of the men who parade Saturday at the Straight Pride parade in the city. Commenting on a tweeted video showing mostly men with a few women on the move, AOC said it seemed that these men might have a problem of "masculinity".

"For men supposedly" proud "to be heterosexual, they seem to show real incompetence in attracting women to their event," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. "It sounds more like a" I-Struggle-With-Masculinity "show to me, and I hope they'll grow enough over the next year to support / join the following #Pride LGBTQ community!"

The parade on Saturday afternoon began at Copley Square and ended at the Boston City Hall. Boston police reinforced security along this route in anticipation of possible clashes with opposing groups of protesters and those who accused them of being homophobic.

The parade was organized by a group called "Super Happy Fun America", which invited well-known personalities right.

The Super Happy Fun America group said everyone was invited to participate as long as they played well with them.

"All are welcome to the parade if they meet the criteria for participation.Antifa, abbreviation of Anti-Fun and other hate groups are not welcome as they are neither happy nor fun," said the group on its website.

The group said the city of Boston had "rejected" its request to raise the pride flag in front of the town hall, and that Boston and its mayor had not created "a favorable environment for the rights and rights of the people." 39, equality for all ".

"We will continue to educate the mayor and the public by anticipating that one day straight lines will be able to celebrate their way of life like everyone else," the group said. "What better way to educate and promote unity than by organizing a parade!"

Last week, the Boston Pride group said the parade was organized by white supremacists whose goal was to attract detractors of pure pride.

"The Straight Pride Parade is organized by a group of white supremacists and is an attempt to attack the Boston LGBTQ community."

John Hugo, president of the heterosexual group, said that there was no racist in his group and that he had invited people to attend their meetings.

"There are no racists in our group, you have to attend one of our meetings: it's like the United Nations," Hugo said.
