The spokesman for US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sent a profane tweet to a potential Republican challenger, who tore up for wanting to debate his boss.
"Yo @RichValdes, what makes you think that you are entitled to a debate with the AOC," spokesman Corbin Trent said Sunday to the conservative radio producer who is discussing with a new MP.
Earlier in the day, Valdes said he had tried to challenge Ocasio-Cortez in a debate about the merits of capitalism versus socialism while they both participated in the national parade of the Puerto Rican holiday. Valdes says that the Socialist Democrat "has been thrown off the street" when he tried to approach it.

After the failed meeting, Trent told The Post that Ocasio-Cortez had not fled from Valdes and that she "owed no debate to anyone".
But he also wanted to send a direct message to Valdes.
"Pro Tip: Following her at a parade will not make her more likely," Trent told Valdes in the tweet.
He removed it the next day, said Valdes.
"I actually sent this," admitted Trent to La Poste during a phone interview Thursday.
"I have actually deleted it. It did not seem so useful, "he said.
Trent said he does not regret the move, but rather "regrets that people are chasing people around."
"I regret that so many people, whether presidential candidates, right-wing commentators or random people who launch organizations, think they are entitled to time. I think she spent a ton of time in the district talking about what she was doing, why she was doing it and defending her policies, "said Trent.

Valdes replied: "If MP Ocasio-Cortez approves the language and bellicose behavior of her spokesperson, it's up to her. That says a lot about the fact that it respects civility and respectful civil discourse. Something we desperately need today. "
Valdes added that he had never sued Ocasio-Cortez, but had simply been directed to her.
