New supply chain reports claim that an “Apple Glass” prototype is in phase two of production, following recent rumors of a 2021 version of the AR device.

Supporting analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s report that “Apple Glass” will be released in 2021, a new claim indicates that it has passed a first stage of production.

“Apple is about to enter the second phase of the development of its prototype AR glasses,” says Digitimes in a report, “according to industry sources”.

There is no detail on what this second phase represents, nor on the number of expected phases. However, this suggests that “Apple Glass” is progressing to a commercial version.

Previously, Ming-Chi Kuo expected “Apple Glass” to launch in 2022 at the earliest. His latest report postpones it to 2021, which is closer to the claims of serial leaker Jon Prosser.

In addition to predicting a launch between March and June 2021, Prosser previously said “Apple Glass” will cost $ 499. This cost would be for a version without corrective lenses, and possibly for a plastic frame.
