The April Fool’s Pokemon Go event returns on April 1

Pokemon Go’s April Fool’s Day event returns on April 1. The event runs throughout the day and features various ‘tricky’ Pokémon such as Aipom and Croagunk, as well as increased grunt appearances from Team Go Rocket.

Throughout the April Fool’s Day event, Aipom, Croagunk, Purrloin, and other mischievous monsters will appear more frequently than usual in the wild. The same will also be much more common during the event, and this time around you can find him disguised as a Pokemon that he hasn’t spawned before in Pokemon Go.

In addition to the increase in Pokémon appearances, Team Go Rocket’s growls will appear more frequently in Balloons and PokeStops throughout the event, and they will only have Shadow Aipom on their teams. A new Team Go Rocket Timed Research set will also be available starting April 1. Completing this will earn you various rewards, including a Super Rocket Radar, which you can use to fight Rocket Leader Giovanni.

It’s not the only Pokemon Go event on the horizon. Niantic is hosting a spring-themed in-game event from April 4-8. Throughout this event, you’ll be able to catch wreath-wearing versions of Pikachu and Chansey in the wild, as well as other spring-themed Pokémon. Shiny Bunnelby and Shiny Chansey will also appear, and there will be event-exclusive research tasks and other bonuses.

After that, Pokemon Go’s April Community Day will be on April 11. The Pokémon featured this month is Snivy, and if you can evolve it to its final form, Serperior, during the event or up to two hours after, it will learn the exclusive Frenzy Plant Community Day movement.
