The art of the Final Fantasy VII Remake Box, it's safe, is misleading

It's the art of the box, released this morning, for the next Remake of Final Fantasy VII, which will be released on March 3, 2020. It is a deadly art. But if you saw it on a shelf, you would not know it's just part one remake.

The game that Square Editor calls "Final Fantasy VII Remake" is actually a developed and improved version of the Midgar section of the original. Final Fantasy VII, which includes about the first four hours of the game. The remake looks (and feels) good until now, but we do not know when the whole project will be finished. The director Yoshinori Kitase told me at the time that they had not yet determined the number of parties that he was going to occupy.

From what we've seen so far, it's safe to say that this PS4 game will feel radically different and will be much bigger than the original game. Final Fantasy VIIMidgar. The story is getting longer, the gameplay is completely new and there are a ton of changes, big and small. But it's still a fraction of Final Fantasy VIIThe complete story. So, why is there no indication elsewhere on this box that it is only the first part? (Square Enix did not immediately answer our questions about this.)

In the press releases, Square Enix describes this game as such:

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE is a reimagination of the iconic original game that redefined the genre of role playing, plunging deeper than ever into the world and its characters. The first game of the project will take place in the eclectic city of Midgar and present a fully autonomous gaming experience that will provide an excellent starting point for the series.

You have to ask yourself: how many people will see this box on GameStop or Target and think: "Wow, a remake of this game I loved in the 90's" to discover that they just got 1/10 of the story of this game that they liked in the 90s?
