I played through Pokémon Blue, red, and Yellow dozens of times. The starters of these games will always have a special place in my heart. But I would like to continue playing with them while having the opportunity to explore different elemental attacks. The renderings of an artist give an idea of what it might look like.
On the subreddit Pokemon, the Abz-art user has loaded a handful of illustrations designing hybrid versions of the different inputs. And if Venusaur was a type of water dressed in coral? And if Blastoise had a volcano on his back and lava lava? How about a grass type Charizard with tree branches for wings?
Abz even re-machined Pikachu as a Dragon type, why not? I do not know at all how this jamming of Pokémon DNA would work in a real game, but Abz's illustrations convinced me that it would be a really great set of mechanisms to explore by GameFreak in the future of the series. .
Abz was not content with beloved starters. They dared to question Moltres as an electric type and Zapdos as an ice type. They also shared a host of alternative evolutions for Eevee. There are many, and each is magical in its own way, but my favorite is by far the poison-type Eevee, also known as Toxeon, because the Pokemon world could still use more poison types amazing.
