Everyone makes mistakes, including us, but some are particularly funny. And the media continues to identify the Los Angeles Chargers as "San Diego," since they are back in Los Angeles (the franchise started there in 1960, then in San Diego in 1961, LA in 2017) for almost three years now and that people continue to call them "San Diego" Stephen A. Smith the glitch Madden 19.
The last culprit on this front comes from an interesting source; not a national media, but rather The Athletic LA. This account tweeted "What San Diego should do?" Thursday as part of a story about running back Melvin Gordon of the Blues Chargers. They finally deleted this tweet after 45 minutes, but it is kept in a screenshot here:
This produced amusing answers:
San Diego fears nothing

San Diego ?! We're not going to shit, but sit back and watch the apology from the LAC team. pic.twitter.com/HM2HBnGzJH

I like the fact that it was a sports coverage account based in Los Angeles that made this mistake.

What should San Diego do? They should forget the chargers. That's what.

It's understandable that San Diego always comes to mind when discussing the Chargers, but it's still a funny mistake. And although the team in question was correctly located in the story in question, the tweet needed more work.
