The franchise "Shaft" returns for the third time in the film "Shaft" this weekend. Richard Roundtree, Samuel L. Jackson and Jessie T. Usher confront all members of the Shaft family in action comedy.
Last week's critics criticized the film, which only received 35% of the rotten tomatoes and was hit hard for its homophobia, sexism, racism and poor storyline.
The public, however, seems to like that – at least those who have seen it. The film's audience score for rotten tomatoes is very high (93% of the previous three films), while the CinemaScore cinema exit survey service gave it a rating of A.
In spite of this apparent love of the public, this one does not show it to its fair value, because the film is particularly awaited. The studio wanted a $ 15 million opening – it only got an opening of $ 8.3 million and a sixth place. No matter how much it pleased, this movie will die quickly.
"Shaft" will not open internationally, the film will be released worldwide on Netflix in two weeks, Friday, June 28.
