On Sunday, the news was announced that George Foreman's daughter, Freeda Foreman, died suddenly at the age of 42 at her home, near Houston.
On Tuesday, forensic doctors confirmed to the Associated Press that Foreman had died by suicide.
George Foreman mourns his daughter
The boxing icon, the former world champion and Olympic gold medalist, tweeted about the death of his daughter Sunday.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office confirmed with the Houston Chronicle that an emergency team had found Foreman dead at home on Friday in his home on the outskirts of Houston.
Foreman had a brief boxing career, finishing 5-1 with three knockouts in 2000-01 games. She was one of the 10 children of George Foreman.
