The Bank of America Tower will be sold under a record contract – History

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) – A promoter in North Carolina said he had agreed to buy the new Bank of America tower in Charlotte in what would be the most expensive office building sale in the state's history.

Highwoods Properties is expected to close the $ 436 million deal in November as it moves into the Charlotte market.

Developer Lincoln Harris and his partner Goldman Sachs purchased the site for $ 37.5 million in 2016. Bank of America employees began moving into the 33-storey tower last week. Its seat is in another building a few blocks away.

The real estate company CBRE claims that the sale of $ 284 million from One Wells Fargo Center in Charlotte for 2016 is the largest transaction related to the construction of office buildings in the state. But the sale of the tower would take this place if it passed.
