The battle of opinions on 'Game of Thrones' and the Battle of Winterfell – TechCrunch

This article and podcast contain annotations for "Game of Thrones" and "Avengers: Endgame."

"The Long Night", the highly anticipated episode of "Game of Thrones" where the living and the dead meet in an epic and desperate battle, has not been fully adopted by fans of the series. Instead, many complained of the (literal) darkness of the episode, while others were disappointed by the apparent disappearance of the former ruthless of the series.

But your Original Content podcast hosts (this week with our original co-host, Darrell Etherington) were quite pleased with this episode, as revealed by a large talk.

Yes, darkness was a problem, but the team of designers used this darkness to produce a strangely beautiful effect. On the right screen, everything in the episode was a grandiose and terrifying sight. And although we had bickered with some narration choices, we also shouted surprise at the end of the episode.

The other big question is to know what the death of the king of the night means for the last three episodes of the series. Time will tell, but for now, we hope to return to the initial emphasis on political stratagems and moral compromise.

As if that was not enough for a podcast, we're also looking at the other "Avengers: Endgame", a big pop cultural event of the past week – and we capture the exact moment when Jordan realized that "Endgame" would not be Marvel's latest film.
