The Bears give up 2 kickers from a multitude of moves

After having submitted eight different kickers to an unconventional training session this weekend at the rookie mini-camp, the Chicago Bears have decided to go ahead with only two of them. 39 between them.

Redford Jones and John Baron II have both been dismissed and no contracts have been offered to Spencer Evans, Casey Bendarski, Emmit Carpenter or Justin Yoon, the four experienced rookies who are testing this weekend.

This means that Chris Blewitt and Elliott Fry are the two most impressed Bears at Halas Hall, and for the moment they are the last two places in the competition.

None of the reporters were too impressed by the kickers this weekend, although Evans and Bednarski looked good today.

The Bears also gave up half-defenseman Adarius Pickett and half-defender Lawrence Marshall, but they added offensive lineman Tommy Doles and defensive back Jalen Dalton, both of them on the test.

Doles (6'4 ", 296) started the right guard for the last three years for Northwestern, and was captain as a senior. Dalton (6'6 ", 300) has completed 6.5 sacks in the past two years in North Carolina.
