The Bears have signed more than half of their class project on Monday afternoon. Wide receiver Riley Ridley, running back Kerrith Whyte and cornerback Stephen Denmark will each receive standard four-year contracts.

Ridley, the former Georgian receiver taken in the fourth round, will pay about $ 3.08 million, the amount of choice last year's No. 126, the Falcons midfielder, Ito Smith. On the basis of last year's contracts, the seventh-round projects of choice, Whyte and Denmark, will receive contracts worth about $ 2.56 million and $ 2.54 million, respectively.

The Bears have two unsigned draft picks: running back David Montgomery, a third round pick, and cornerback Duke Shelley, a sixth round.

The team's contract negotiations seem less stressful than last season, when first-round first-round pick Roquan Smith did not show up at training camp while his agent was arguing with the Bears over contract.
