The Bears will unveil kicker Cody Parkey at the start of the season on March 13, the NFL Network announced on Friday.
Parkey had 23 attempts scoring 30 and 42 in 45 extra points in 16 regular season games with the Bears. In January, he scored three of four goals scored in the Eagles first-round loss, but missed the potential winner in the final seconds.
Parkey has joined the Bears with a $ 15 million contract over four years last spring. The Bears will still owe him $ 3.5 million after releasing him.
He participated in the NBC program "Today" broadcast five days after the playoffs, a decision he had not yet cleared with the Bears. Bears coach Matt Nagy made it clear that he did not approve of the interview, saying he did not think it was "us".
"We need more production from this position," said Pace. "We know we need to improve, and it will be an area of intervention."
Pace and Nagy will address the media at the NFL meeting in Indianapolis next week.
