Minecraft Land, a brand new AR mobile version of the sensational global sandbox survival and building game, will arrive on iOS later this month and on Android "soon after," according to the official blog.

We heard about Minecraft Earth for the first time about two months ago, in mid-May, when Mojang developers released a trailer, and then last month entered the games for the first time . Now they have a brand new beta announcement video that gives more details about the game's mechanics and gameplay:

Basically, we present you a fantastic world map that strangely resembles Pokemon Go, with a Minecraft style avatar and skins. It uses the real world map to create the environment. You walk around and press objects such as animals and blocks to collect them. Naturally, they are called "tappables" in Minecraft Earth.

Once you have collected enough resources, you move to the next level and once you have enough resources, you can create items that are placed in the real world from your phone's screen. It is described as a "living, breathing" Minecraft world. It includes a seamlessly integrated multiplayer mode, allowing users to help or curb your creations. Then you can resize your creations to the actual size to explore them and see the world around you.

I have not tried yet, but honestly, it looks awesome.

The limited iOS beta for Minecraft Earth is expected to come out in the next two weekswhich means sometime before July 26th. Only a "limited number of players in selected cities" will be chosen before a wider release this summer.

You can register to have a chance to be selected in the closed beta right here and see the main website for more details as they are available.
