Former Vice President Joe Biden has decided to run for the White House in just over a month, but that does not stop his team members from taking the initial steps to put in place a campaign structure.
"They collect CVs but do not make any commitment," Fox News told a source close to Biden's inner circle. "They think instead of people" in a possible presidential campaign. The source asked to remain anonymous to speak more freely.

With at least 10 Democrats already in the race – including Vermont's Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Kamala Harris of California, Cory Booker of New Jersey, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota – the home ground. The 2020 Democratic candidacy quickly becomes crowded. And at least half a dozen other potential candidates should make it official over the next few weeks.
Many White House candidates have already hired experienced staff in the first states to vote from Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada. And seasoned fundraisers and funders are committed to the already declared Democratic presidential candidates.
"We know we are going to lose people," said the source, regarding Biden's time to make a decision.
But these concerns do not seem to weigh heavily on the former vice-president with respect to his schedule.
"If he loses another organizer or president of his country, he will not let it go," added the source.
BIDEN SLAMS THE TREATMENT OF EUROPEAN ALLIES BY TRUMP
While considering a third candidacy for the White House, Biden said he was in no hurry.
Speaking abroad at the Munich Security Conference earlier this month, the former vice president said, "I think there is plenty of time to do it. And I think we tend, especially in the United States, to start the whole election process much too early. I think we should focus now on what needs to be done to change some of the policies promoted by the president. "
Another person close to Biden – who also asked to remain anonymous to speak more freely – told Fox News that the former vice president "is resolutely turned towards yes".
But the source pointed out that family concerns remained Biden's main concern when making his decision.
Jill Biden's book, "Where light enters: founding a family, discovering oneself, is expected", should be published in May. What that can say about her husband's calendar for 2020 and the possibility for Biden to announce a presidential campaign before his wife's tour is unclear.
