The Binding of Isaac: Repentance will be released on March 31, 2021 for PC via Steam.
As of yet, there is no console release date for the “Final Sequel Size Expansion”, but creator Edmund McMillen said this will “dramatically expand the game, adding tons of new bosses, floors, alternate paths, items, story elements, challenges and some amazing characters (and more!)”.
Here take a look at this brand new teaser (thanks, Eurogamer):
Designer Edmund McMillen ad the new DLC to mark the game’s nine years. Repentance is now available on Steam’s wishlist, and its newly created store page is full of ever-impressive details and numbers.
Repentance will add over 130 items, 100 enemies, 25 bosses, two playable characters, 5,000 potential room layouts, and 100 achievements when it arrives. It also contains “a complete alternate path with new chapters and a new final boss and an ending”.
“It’s too big a game to call a sequel: Repentance takes Isaac to new heights in the roguelike dungeon adventure, as the brave boy descends into the basement for his greatest challenge yet, ” the Steam page reads. “Isaac’s new quest takes him to places he has never been before, filled with horrific new enemies and bosses, weapon combos you’ve never synergized before, and items you he has never seen … ungodly terrors of his wildest dreams and worst nightmares!
“The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is so huge, so new and so feature-rich that previous updates feel like prequels,” he adds.
There are a lot of things to spark in the game this year. here are the 2021 upcoming games we really can’t wait.
