The black choir at Harry and Meghan’s wedding say Prince Charles invited them

The kingdom comes… to the defense of Prince Charles.

Members of the Kingdom’s Choir – who performed at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding – speak out in defense of Prince Charles as the royals face allegations of racism stemming from the Sussex powwow on Sunday night with Oprah Winfrey.

Ms Karen Gibson, founder and conductor of The Kingdom’s Choir, told TMZ on Thursday that it was Prince Charles who invited the African-American group to bless the congregation at Harry and Meg’s nuptials, an invitation that she believed to be sincere. She also claims Charles has done “everything possible” to congratulate them on their success since the event.

Markle claimed in the bombshell interview in question that a member of the royal family had expressed concern about Archie’s and Harry’s son’s skin color, as Markle’s mother is African American. Winfrey has confirmed that neither the Queen nor Prince Phillip are the royals in question, which has led many to point fingers at Charles and / or his eldest son Prince William.

For his part, William insisted that the royals are “really not a racist family” when questioned. Charles has yet to respond to the allegations, only letting out a nervous chuckle when asked about the controversial questions and answers.
