The Black Keys have announced their ninth studio album "Let's Dance" (yes, with the quotation marks). It will be released June 28 via Easy Eye Sound / Nonesuch Records. Today, Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach shared the second single of the album, "Eagle Birds."
"When we are together, we are the Black Keys, that's where the true magic of our 16 years old has always been," Auerbach said in a statement. "The record is like a tribute to the electric guitar," added Carney. "We took a simple approach and eliminated all the fat as before."
"Let's Dance" The album was written, produced and recorded live by Auerbach and Carney at Auerbach's Eye Sound studio in Nashville. It also includes choirs by Leisa Hans and Ashley Wilcoxson.
The old record of the Black Keys was the 2014 Become blue. In September, the duo will begin the "Let's Rock" tour with Modest Mouse and Shannon and the Clams.
