The Blue Jays become the first team with victories on foot in three stadiums in the same season since 1898

Thanks in part to the excellence of George Springer, the Toronto Blue Jays are the hottest team in baseball right now, and they continued their recent success with a draw victory over AL East rival the Red Sox on Saturday afternoon ( TOR 1, BOS 0). Saturday’s win was the Blue Jays’ fourth win of the season, and they have now claimed victories in three stadiums. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the Blue Jays are the first team to achieve victories in three stadiums in the same season since the Baltimore Orioles in 1898. These Orioles played from 1882 to 1899 and are a defunct franchise not associated with the current Baltimore Orioles.

The Blue Jays also won play-offs against the Yankees on April 14 (in Dunedin), against the Braves on May 1 (in Dunedin) and against the Marlins on June 2 (in Buffalo).

Saturday’s win was the club’s first victory in Toronto since September 23, 2019, when Anthony Alford hit a homerun in the 15th inning against the Orioles.

Toronto’s hot streak moved him within 2 1/2 games of second place in the American League wild card.
