CARROLLTON, Ohio (AP) – Authorities say the body of a 14-year-old boy, missing on Sunday, was found in a shallow grave on a farm in northeastern Ohio.

The sheriff, prosecutor and coroner of Carroll County gave no details at a press conference Friday afternoon on the death of Jonathon Minard or on the presence of suspects in his death.

Investigators found his body Friday morning at a farm in Washington Township, about 90 km southeast of Cleveland.

Jonathon was last seen on a farm in New Harrisburg on Saturday, where he helps milk cows on a farm owned by a friend's father. Investigators learned that Jonathon had complained of toothache and that he would call his mother at his friend's house so that he would pick him up.

Sheriff Dale Williams said earlier this week that his mother had not received an appeal.
