GAS CITY, Ind. – According to the Indiana State Police, the body of a missing 10-year-old girl was found in a shed located behind her house.

Skylea Rayn Carmack was reported missing Saturday night. Indiana State Police say its preliminary investigation indicates that Skylea was killed on Saturday afternoon or evening.

His body was found Wednesday morning around 3 am in a plastic bag inside a shed located behind his home in Gas City, reports WRTV.

Skylea's mother-in-law, Amanda Carmack, 34, was arrested and charged with murder. She is currently facing charges of murder, negligence of a dependent resulting in death, domestic battery causing death and strangulation.

The preliminary inquiry indicates that Skylea died of strangulation but that the exact cause of his death will be determined by the Grant County Coroner.
