Even dot-com couldn’t have seen this coming. The daring type, a show about the New York fashion magazine industry, whose cast finds it just as unrealistic as you do, will end its run on Freeform with its upcoming fifth season. The network confirmed the final renewal today, with the new six-episode season slated for release in 2021. (Yeah, only six episodes, what kind of hits. Give us more content on what it was that d ‘have an expense account!) Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee and Meghann Fahy are, of course, set to return as Scarlet the magazine’s BFF trio, as did Melora Hardin as Jan Levinson’s editor-in-chief. We will mourn the loss as we cry in our tiny closets, alone.
