The Boring Company of Elon Musk will build a tunnel under Las Vegas.

Las Vegas and boring are usually not words placed side by side. However, as times change, our expectations must be up, as we learn that The Boring Company of Elon Musk will sign an exclusive deal in Las Vegas.

What is the company currently trading? Design, construction and operation of the $ 48.6 million underground transit line for the Las Vegas Convention Center, known as Loop.

Like many things in Las Vegas, it's always a bet.

Sin City has suffered from congestion problems, and this project aims to improve them for the resort area as well as for the wider community. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) Board of Directors is almost entirely in favor of the project. The only opponent to the project is the Mayor of Las Vegas: Carolyn Goodman.

Goodman's problem with the Boring company taking charge of the project is its lack of experience.

Even with the majority of LVCVA board members ready to press the start button, the mayor's concerns are echoing across the country. Maryland and Chicago have faced similar doubts about Musk's Boring Company's capabilities in terms of civic heist.

What will the loop look like?

Expected as a tunnel with a modified model X Tesla chassis, it will be known as the autonomous electric vehicle (AEV). The AEV will transport up to 16 passengers, standing and sitting, up to 155 mph along its underground tunnels.

Why do you intend to ask?

The current Las Vegas Convention Center has been expanding since last year. The additional segments will add more than 4 million square feet to the lot, which includes 600,000 square feet of additional exhibit space for rent.

In this spirit, the work of the loop will consist of connecting the two buildings, currently separated from each other, and minimize the 15 minutes of walking to 1 minute of travel. Not so bad in the heat of the Nevada desert.
