The Arizona Cardinals have agreed to sign a one-year contract with independent Rusher Rusher according to 98.7 FM Sports Station Arizona John Gambadoro. They can not officially sign Suggs before the start of league New Year on Wednesday.

Sugador has received the interest of the San Francisco 49ers, who have been slow to add, reports Gambadoro.

Suggs, 36, is a member of the Baltimore Ravens since being named by them in 2003.

The notable former Arizona State player is one of the best pass-passers the NFL has had in the past two decades. Suggs, the seventh-ranked NFL Pro NFL player in 2003, was voted best defensive player of the year in 2011.

His 132.5 sacks are tied for 13th in the NFL standings. Over the 13 seasons, Suggs has played at least 15 games, at least seven bags of the season, except one.

With old age, Suggs has always remained productive. He has had at least seven sacks in each of the last three seasons, for a total of 26 since 2016.

Suggs played 72 percent of the Ravens defense last year and has 34 tackles and 7 sacks in 16 regular season games.

NFL.com ranked Suggs 42nd among the best free agents available.

While Markus Golden has entered the freelance mode, the Cardinals have an opening for the shuffle on the other side of Pro Bowler Chandler Jones. It is possible that the Cardinals keep Golden at a reasonable price if another team does not throw him a lot of money, according to Gambadoro.
