TEMPE, Arizona – The Arizona Cardinals may well be the first choice in next week's NFL draft, but nine days before the start of the first round, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim has announced that A decision on which Arizona would choose was not upheld. was done.

Why have not the Cardinals yet made their decision?
Keim summed up succinctly: "Because we have time."
Keim said that he would not say he had received calls to trade the first choice or a particular player. However, later, Keim said that "the first choice was taken into account" by the teams. That he exchanges pickaxe will depend on compensation, Keim said.
"If it's a compensation you can not miss and it's the next three drafts of some of these teams, you'll have to consider it," Keim said.
And, Keim added, there were commercial conversations that gave him a break.
"There is always," he says. "I'm excited, I like doing business, at the same time, I like good players."
For months, forecasts indicate that the Cardinals will recruit quarterback Kyler Murray of Oklahoma, recruited by Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury, to Texas High School.
Keim said that watching speculation in abundance was "fun" and "exciting".
"Regarding this press conference, you think it's misinformation," Keim said. "We're not the only ones who spit it out, there's a lot going on.
"The fact that I do not know what we are doing but that everyone knows it is worrying."
Regarding Murray, however, Keim said that whoever writes the winner of the Heisman Trophy will have to pay attention to the possibility that Murray will renounce the NFL to play Major League Baseball. Murray was selected in the first round last year by Oakland Athletics but announced in February that he was going to focus on football.
When Keim was asked about it when he spoke to Murray when they met, the general manager replied, "Maybe."
After all the talks between the Cardinals and Murray, Kingsbury said Josh Rosen, who had played 13 games last season, was "phenomenal".
"Honestly, it could not have been better," said Kingsbury. "The first to show up, get engaged, very strong, as everyone knows, I can not say enough good things about my interactions with Josh so far."
