In 2017, Goyer was hired to write the script and finally began talks. But he finally left to work on other projects.

In April of last year, Aaron and Adam Nee were hired to lead. This announcement was a surprise, as the duo was best known for their tiny independent comedy. Thieves. The hiring of Nees – and the potential hires of Phil Lord and Chris Miller – suggest that Sony could take a comic approach to content here.
