Junior leader Cassius Winston recorded 27 points, eight assists and eight rebounds to lead the Spartans in a series of three defeats against the Wolverines. Kenny Goins (16 points), Xavier Tillman (14) and Matt McQuaid (13) also scored two figures.

This victory places MSU in first place in the Big Ten ranking.
