Minecraft Earth arrives on Android devices, at least in closed beta. A tweet from the official Twitter account of Minecraft Earth reveals that next week a handful of Android users will be able to get their hands on the mobile game Minecraft-meets-VR.

If you wish to participate, you will need to visit the Minecraft Earth registration page to register and try the closed beta. Only a handful of players will qualify for the moment, but the exact scope of the invitation remains to be determined.

IPhone users in Seattle and London have already had the chance to become familiar with the game. So it's good that the beta is expanding to more devices. The tweet does not mention any geographical limits to the closed beta of Android. So we hope to see a much larger deployment than observed on iOS.

Are you excited about this game? Do you think it has the potential to earn the same kind of steam as the similar Pokemon Go game? Share your thoughts in the comment box below.
