A partial collapse of the roof in a California casino on Monday resulted in multiple injuries, the authorities said.

First responders rushed to Larry Flynt's Lucky Lady Casino in Gardena after a part of the roof fell near the center of the building. Police called the scene an "active incident" and stated that there were "unknown wounds" at that time.

Although the police did not immediately confirm the number of wounded, The Los Angeles County Fire Department said 11 people were injured, including one "moderate" and 10 light. Seven people were transported to the hospital, said fire officials.

Police released images inside the casino showing ceiling panels, plasterboard and other debris scattered on the game tables. Firefighters posted a photo of the roof showing two rectangular trailers sunk in the partially collapsed area.
