Will the third week give us the wildest weekend of college football so far this season?
The first trip from College GameDay to Ames, Iowa, drew a large crowd Saturday morning, a few hours before the state of Iowa was trying to end a lost defeat by four matches against his rival, Iowa.
For the first time this fall, four of the nation's six teams will be playing on the road, suggesting the risk of a major disaster that would make the Top 10 tremble.
And for the first time in two years, Saturday does not offer a single game ranked at the national level. The last time this happened, however, Syracuse upset Clemson inside the Dome Carrier. In all, seven ranked teams lost to unclassified opponents this weekend during the 2017 campaign.
The Orange will try to do it again in prime time against the defending national champions, who equaled a school record with 17 wins in a row.
A potential problem for viewers this weekend? It is possible that the list of games played on Saturday between ESPN, SEC Network and the rest of the Worldwide Leader sports network army is not available if you subscribe to DirecTV, AT & T U-Verse or AT & T. T TVNow. According to the SEC via instantaccesstv.com, DirectTV and AT & T video subscribers may not have a chance on Saturday.
Here are some of the choices and analysis of Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and the College GameDay gang in Week Three:
