On home consoles or arcades, there are few games as iconic as Street Fighter II. Especially those that appeared in the early 90's. While playing to another person was very entertaining, there was always the challenge of making their way through all the characters in single player mode to beat Mr. Bison. Something that I accidentally did with the most difficult difficulty with Ryu. Although mainly by sending a spam to Hadouken.
Following the publication of a video from YouTuber 'Desk', however, it was revealed that if you thought that the processor had a certain advantage, it seems to you that you were right. You see, AI does not have to follow the same rules as me and you!
The Street Fighter II CPU is a confirmed cheater!
So, how exactly does he cheat? Well, it's largely based on breaking or circumventing the rules in which we (as modest human players) are confined. This can result in instant attacks for a CPU that typically asks a human to "load" (such as Guile's kick), but also simply ignoring your attacks to counter you with a free kick.
Overall, it proves one thing. The Street Fighter II processor had to use tricks to beat you!
What do we think?
Well, it's really swings and rides. Yes, the processor can fool you, but to beat the game on its most difficult setting, you usually have to rely on a fairly cheap tactic. Also do not forget that it was originally the cause of an arcade game. As such, they were (almost always) designed to consume as much money as possible.
For me, although I found the video extremely interesting, it does not have the effect of diluting the fact that it is still one of my most appreciated games. Even if the processor is a big loser who cheats!
