In keeping with their usual practice of bringing in different actors as the characters get older, “The Crown” chose Dominic West for Prince Charles and Elizabeth Debicki for Princess Diana in Season 5.
The couple play as the couple separated in the early 1990s and succeed Josh O’Connor and Emma Corrin, who played young Prince Charles and Princess Diana during season 4.
This season ended with marital issues between the two when Princess Diana found out her husband was having an affair with Camilla Parker Bowles (played by Emerald Fennell).
Season 5 is currently in production.
