The Cure is a curious dreamer of Pasadena with Pixies, Deftones and more at Brookside At The Rose Bowl

The Cure is the latest in the festival organized by artists
derby, with today's announcement of the first edition of Pasadena Daydream
Festival, which will take place on August 31 at Brookside at the Rose Bowl and which will feature a
list of Robert Smith's 1990s indie-rock favorites.

In addition to The Cure, the range is completed by Pixies,
Deftones, Mogwai, Throwing Muses, Formable Joy, Chelsea Wolfe, The
Twilight Sad, Amma Ruth Rundle and Kaelan Miklan.

The Cure, recently inducted into Rock And Roll
Hall Of Fame, helped shape the post-punk world musical
landscape with albums such as Pornography,
Disintegration and Blood flowers. The band is also responsible for pop hits like "Friday I'm In Love," "Boys Do not Cry," "Just Like Heaven,"
and much more.

If the place for Pasadena Daydream seems familiar, this is the location of
the Arroyo Seco Weekend Festival – which took place the last two years in June, but
has yet to be announced for a third iteration. Although his disappearance was not
announced or recognized by the promoter Goldenvoice concerts, it is difficult not to
consider Pasadena Daydream as a replacement for Arroyo Seco.

But it's a different type of atmosphere and event.
Rather than classic rockers like Neil Young and The Promise of the Real or Tom
Petty and the Heartbreakers – starring artists from both Arroyo Seco weekends
– this evening will probably include more black t-shirts and guyliner than leather fringes and flip-flops.

The Cure will travel to Pasadena after his 40th birthday
appearance at BST Hyde Park in London, and now the beloved group brings some of their favorites
artists with Pasadena Daydream, in the shadow of the famous Rose Bowl.

"Hyde Park was a fabulous experience, all day was
really magical, and we wanted to create something with a similar party atmosphere
for this summer, "Smith said in the announcement.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, May 17 at noon local time at
PasadenaDaydream.com. General admission will cost you $ 149 plus expenses;
and VIP passes are available at $ 299 plus fees. One dollar of each ticket and
The VIP pass sold goes to music and arts education organizations and local charities
Holland, including Opus, Little Kids Rock, Free Arts for Child Victims of Violence,
Inn-City Arts and the painted turtle.
