There is a reason why Samsung publishes videos and articles on how to take good care of your foldable phone. The Galaxy Fold is probably the most fragile phone on the market and everything you know about smartphones, Android or others, may not apply in all cases. After the first catastrophic day of the Galaxy Fold in the hands of reviewers and influencers, Samsung has gone to a lot of trouble to ensure that its users understand how to take care of its phone. This involves not pressing too hard on the flexible screen or placing it near the water and dust. Unfortunately, these only concern users and assemblers, and manufacturers must have their own quality standards.
Brian Heater, of TechCrunch, has discovered a small task in the middle of the screen. This came just a day after using the Galaxy Fold, which has recently been redesigned and improved. Ironically, Heater's first sample, Galaxy Fold, was one of the few units to survive the first round of tests, but had to be abandoned when Samsung recalled the phones.
Heater's theory is that grain may have been caused by the combination of a manufacturing defect and folding the machine while pressing the display. While Samsung warns of excessive pressure on the fragile and flexible screen, it is expected that users will tap on the screen, especially when they will attempt to fold the Galaxy Fold.
Samsung has, for the second time, taken over the camera to investigate what was wrong. True, this is the first report of a problem with the revived Galaxy Fold, or at least the first public issue. With the launch of the Galaxy Fold in the United States this Friday, we will see if there will be more in the days to come.
