The daughter of George Foreman, Freeda, died of a suicide by hanging

2:58 PT – The County of Harris Coroner's Office has just classified Foreman's death in "hanging asphyxia"

George Foremanthe daughter of Freeda Foreman, who died of an apparent suicide – and from the evidence surrounding her disappearance … it seems that she hanged herself.

A spokesman for the Harris County 4 Constable's Office in Texas – the same county where Freeda was found dead over the weekend – TMZ says … the first indications are that the cause of Freeda's death was an apparent suicide.

The coroner will make the final decision as to the cause of death, but law enforcement officials familiar with the investigation tell us that Freeda seems to have died from asphyxiation. Seeing that no criminal act is suspected, all the signs suggest a hanging.

Unlike her father, Freeda had an ephemeral boxing career … after competing in just 6 fights and winning 5. She retired with a 5-1 record after her first loss in 2001. Would have paid to leave boxing because he was not happy about his presence in the ring.

Freeda is survived by her husband, two daughters, three grandchildren and 11 siblings.
