The day has come: with Zobrist and Descalso in IT, the Cubs will activate Addison Russell. UPDATE: Strop to IL, Zobrist to the list of inactive people for personal reasons, Descalso remains active.
UPDATE (3:39 pm): Pedro Strop will also be added to the IL because of a hamstring injury. Ben Zobrist was put on temporary leave. Descalso will remain active, but suffers from an ankle injury:
Pedro Strop in IL of 10 days with a constraint on the tendon of the left hock. Mike Montgomery activated from IL.

According to David Kaplan's sources:
Look for two Cubs composition movements today. I hear Zobrist and Descalso at the IL. Addison Russell will be one of the activated players.

We all know the story.
Most of you know my feelings about it.
I will not look.
Hopefully fans will refrain from offering a warm return.
My guess is Mike Montgomery will be the second addition to the training, the Cubs being on a short bench. This allows them to postpone a decision on the shipment Kyle Ryan or put Allen Webster renouncements to give way to Monty, who launched six solid runs on his last outing to rehab with Iowa on May 3.
