The contract saga between the Denver Broncos and Chris Harris Jr. ended with a one-year contract to give an increase to the star cornerback. Harris will receive $ 12.05 million in 2019, which is a nice increase over the $ 8.9 million it was originally due to receive. That's $ 50,000 more than what the Broncos offer to Kareem Jackson as a free agency.
"We have a lot of respect for Chris as a player and for everything he represents for our organization," Elway said. "This contract adjustment recognizes its value to our team and the high expectations we have for Chris as a Bronco this season and, hopefully, for the years to come."
CB Broncos, Chris Harris, told me that the announcement of his agreement on the terms of an increase of 2019 had not yet been announced to him. Now, Harris says at first he would not budge for $ 12 million, but he should focus on free will for next year.

Harris, 29, initially asked for a contract extension, but after months of negotiations, the two sides agreed on a one-year increase and an apparent separation in 2020. This will be a hard pill to swallow for Broncos fans who regard Harris as a lock for the Broncos Ring of Fame someday, but that's the direction John Elway has decided to take.
As one of the the highest-ranked corners in 2018Harris deserved this increase. Now, the Broncos can fight for the playoffs this year with an elite high school with additions from Bryce Callahan and Kareem Jackson.
