"The message is loud and clear," said director Jeff Fowler.

You have to go back quickly to the editing bay, in the case of Sonic The Hedgehog. Director Jeff Fowler spoke to Twitter to respond to fans' criticism of the new design of Sonic The Hedgehog, which came soon after the release of the new trailer earlier this week. IGN solicited comments from Paramount.

Watch the trailer below:

"Thanks for the support and the criticism", Fowler tweeted. "You're not happy with the design and you want changes, it's coming in. Everyone at Paramount & Sega is determined to make this character the BEST that it can be … #sonicmovie # gottafixfast "

The first revelation of Sonic's silhouette, which IGN made its debut exclusively in December, and the new trailer have elicited mixed and negative reactions from fans. It's worth noting that Paramount, SEGA and the rest of the Sonic creative team seem to have already implemented corrections for the initial criticisms regarding Sonic's muscle legs The Hedgehog, which was a point of contention in the poster because they seem to have been removed design characters in this new trailer.

The latest controversial topic is Sonic's teeth, which critics jokingly compared to nail polish and pretending did not feel loyal to the character. The conversation on the Internet also inspired IGN to see what other famous characters in the video game would look like (if you've always wanted to see a Pikmin with a full range of chompers, your dream has come true).

It's unclear exactly what will be the "fixes" or the depth of the redesign, but no matter, it's an unprecedented step for a studio that wants to change a project so far from completion . Sonic The Hedgehog is scheduled for release in US theaters on November 8, and although the effects of the film are likely to be far from over, it is still late to make any reshuffle of what appeared to be a rather locked-up project.
