The directors of the final explain why they left Marvel

It's no secret that Joe and Anthony Russos are taking a break from Marvel Studios. After four record movies, the brothers prepared the studio AGBO, where they develop properties, alongside Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The brothers are now busy promoting Mosul, one of the first films under their banner AGBO.

Sitting in front of the Toronto Sun, Anthony explained why they were looking to start their own business instead of continuing to spend billions of dollars through Marvel Studios. As one could expect, the duo wanted to have the opportunity to tell their own stories animated by the man. "We are very happy with the road we were able to take with Marvel," Anthony told the Sun. "But growing up, Joe and I have always had a very global vision – we've always looked at the politics and social situations happening around the world."

He then explained that if Marvel allowed them to tell huge stories of blockbusters, he left something to be desired by telling stories around the world.

"Making these Marvel films really made us feel close to the global audience because they are popular," continued the director. "We were able to travel the world, meet people and interact with fans around the world, which was very stimulating for us and motivated us to deepen our knowledge at a global level of storytelling."

In another interview at the Toronto International Film Festival, the brothers revealed projects that would bring them back to Kevin Feige. Now, Marvel Studios has live action rights on Fox's character library, Joe Russo admitted that he would like to do something with Silver Surfer or Ben Grimm.

Upcoming projects from Marvel Studios include Black Widow May 1, 2020, The hawk and the winter soldier in the autumn of 2020, The eternals on November 6, 2020, Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings on February 12, 2021, WandaVision in the spring of 2021, Loki in the spring of 2021, Strange doctor in the multiverse of madness May 7, 2021, And what would happen if …? in the summer of 2021, Hawk Eye in the autumn of 2021, and Thor: love and thunder November 5, 2021 and Black Panther 2 May 6, 2022. The Disney + Marvel Studios series without release date include Mrs. Marvel, Knight of the moon, and She-Hulk.
