The new Google Pixel 3a gives up a handful of features to bring down the price, and it seems that these changes have actually repaired this phone more easily than most current flagship products. The Pixel 3a disassembly of iFixit (which is absolutely packed with Avengers: End of the game jokes) indicates that most of the components in this device are modular and can easily be replaced. In addition, an "easy to repair" adhesive that stretches around the battery and only one type of standard screw is used.
These are all excellent for repairability, but there are of course some disadvantages. The main complaints of iFixit during the dismantling of Pixel 3a concern components a little more fragile and likely to be damaged. On the one hand, there is "the myriad of long, thin ribbon cables" inside that could easily be torn apart during a repair.
The display is thin and poorly supported. It is easy to remove but lacks water resistance and can be damaged during removal. This screen is also connected to the motherboard with a single ribbon cable.
