From Entertainment Weekly:
Star wars the characters have droids to help them explore their world. You will have your smartphone.
While they're exploring the outpost of Black Spire on the inside the Galaxy's Edge Disneyland and Walt Disney World attractions, guests will be able to use the Play Disney Parks app on their devices to learn more about the events around them and to be part of the story themselves.
"Since First Order arrived at Black Spire Outpost, they have started downloading a surveillance system on the door control panels to monitor what is happening in the outpost," says Anisha Deshmane, assistant to production at Imagineering, which contributed to the development of interactive elements. "Obviously, the Resistance may not want its actions to be followed. They would like to fly under the radar, so they try to fight back. "
Dozens of these surveillance boxes are embedded in the walls of the city and you can use the Disney Play app to "edit" them by solving a simple puzzle. Then you can choose to disable them to help the Resistance or reactivate them to help the First Order. Over time, the game runs out and a winner is declared.
Digitize and translate
The Play Disney app will read markers on containers and buildings that will reveal a little more about what's inside. On the Rise of resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Race you will spend time online learning facts about upcoming assignments.
Some of the labels will be encrypted, so users will have to solve a simple puzzle as a description key to reveal the content.
The application will also help you to become a stranger in a foreign country.
"As you go along, amazing languages are written on walls and carved in stone," says Casey Ging, Imagineering concept designer. "You will hear characters speaking in their foreign language, their native language. The translation app is a way for you to really understand what they are talking about. You can automatically hear the sound or scan some of the written text. "
Wherever you see the Star wars Aurebesh's tongue, the app will help you translate – revealing that this sign lying above a front door reads: Savi & Son Salvage.
There is also a story behind these so-called junk dealers. They secretly help the Resistance by making lightsabers for Force-sensitive allies.
Another feature of the Play Disney app inside Galaxy's Edge is the "setting". This means listening to the broadcasts that take place between the Resistance, the First Order and various gangs of the underworld.
"There are communications going through all the antennas you see scattered," says Ging. "To get an idea of what these transmissions are, you open your tuning tool and you can locate the transmissions that are exchanged, sometimes between factions, sometimes only between villagers.
Sometimes the intercepted texts look like gibberish and another puzzle has to be solved to decode them. "This one could be something that someone would not want you to hear, so you can use your data block to decipher this transmission, isolate the signal and understand that a secret transmission was sent by any of these factions "Ging said.

Your unique story is dictated simply by the actions you take and the side you choose to support. It is also possible to evolve behind the scenes by partnering with one of the local gangs who play against each other.
The Play Disney app allows visitors to interact with some of the large-scale droids that roll in the village, which will help them to learn more about the world that is roaming the streets and those who are looking for more. # 39; s help. Visitors can also sign up for positions with characters like Hondo Ohnaka, the pirate owner of the Millennium Falcon Armory, who may ask you to help him by researching and transmitting patterns of a spaceship of the First Order.
There will be points and rewards for completing tasks, adding weight to your digital work. Star wars profile but the main focus of visitors is a more personal involvement in the history of Galaxy's Edge.
