A Los Angeles judge ruled that grand jury transcripts would remain sealed for the moment, according to Billboard. At a hearing held earlier today (June 5), Superior Court Judge Robert J. Perry said that the documents would remain under seal for another three weeks. . The accused's lawyer, Eric Holder, will have to use these three weeks to make a strong case for document confidentiality.

Holder's lawyer, Lowynn Young, has already argued that the publication of the documents could create an unfairness in the accused's trial. She said that she did not have access to the evidence. Young argued that if the documents are unsealed, the public will know as much about the case as the defense. Under California law, transcripts could have been available to the public by May 31. A L.A. Times lawyer urged the court to lift the seal of the transcripts immediately, claiming that the public was entitled to this information.

The latest development in Holder's case came a few weeks ago after he pleaded not guilty to murder and possession of a firearm by a criminal and two counts of attempted murder and assault with a gun in the shooting causing two injuries and Nipsey Hussle dead.
