The Philadelphia Eagles will not place franchise etiquette on quarterback Nick Foles, said Wednesday general manager Howie Roseman.
"We're going to let Nick Foles become a free agent," said Roseman at the NFL Watch Club in Indianapolis. "He deserves an opportunity to lead a team."
The main goal of Foles this season was to find a team that he could qualify as his after two remarkable seasons as a substitute for Carson Wentz.
Foles relinquished his contract with the Eagles by paying them back $ 2 million in February.

Roseman said the combine is the NFL version of the baseball winter meetings, where teams have the opportunity to talk about potential trades. Originally drafted by the Eagles in the third round in 2012, Foles was traded to the St. Louis Rams before the 2015 season after a few tough years in Philadelphia and he was considering retiring after a tough year in St. Louis. .
