The Eero WiFi Mesh Boot is now officially part of Amazon

In a blog post announcing the deal, Eero pointed out that its policy of not following the Internet business of its customers would not change with the acquisition. Customers who do not have the Eero Plus subscription service, which can encrypt your traffic, will continue to have their information routed to Eero's security partner, Zscaler. But the company has made it clear that "we do not have the ability, and have never, to collect navigation data from Eero networks".

This acquisition means that Amazon has further expanded its growing network of devices for the smart home. Amazon's wide range of Amazon products now includes speakers, alarm clocks, child-only devices and a style assistant. Other WiFi-enabled Amazon products include Ring, the home security system for Wi-Fi enabled video doorbells, as well as Fire TV and Amazon streaming services. By purchasing Eero, Amazon has cornered all levels of the smart home system, selling consumers both smart home devices and the routers that connect them. To attract new customers, Amazon and Eero are offering a $ 100 discount on one of its second-generation devices, but only for today.
